I miss living in Kansas City, Missouri and watching storms roll in from the west. So for all the people who don't get a chance to see a good old fashioned midwest storm where you live, enjoy.

The World Health Organization defines sexual health this way...
“…a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality; it is not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity. Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination and violence. For sexual health to be attained and maintained, the sexual rights of all persons must be respected, protected and fulfilled.” (WHO, 2006a)
We don't define peace as just the absence of conflict but the presence of something good, something unifying. In the same way, we don't define sexual health by the absence of disease or dysfunction but the presence of something good.
When you look at your sexuality, where do you find the presence of something hurtful and where do you find goodness, connection and intimacy?

A GREAT PRE-MARITAL QUESTION THAT WE DON'T PUT ON THE LIST TO ASK...
What do you imagine it looking like to suffer with this person? When you suffer, is this the person you want to be with in the thick of it?
We all know life gets to be too much at certain points. So much of marriage isn't about how we make love but how we make war and how we hold each other's suffering. Personality and family of origin culture all impact how comfortable we are in another's pain and there can be a great deal of heartache saved by looking at this topic as much as finances or sex.

Stumptown Coffee & Their Amazing Video
Anytime I need to feel inspired I call on certain people, songs or videos. This video from Stumptown Coffee is one of those videos that makes me really get inspired. Not only are they talking about quality but the video itself is quality. I imagine the church could learn a thing or two from how connected they see each other in the process of the bean and the care they have for it and the people that end up drinking it. Enjoy.
